AMG Pulse is the digital operating system of the company — the single place where transactions are recorded, inventory is tracked, performance is measured, and customers see their position. Engineering Visibility is a system, not a slogan.
The Common Operating Picture
AMG and the customer look at one picture. The inventory position an AMG planner sees is the position the customer's operations manager sees, at the same moment, from the same record. There is no AMG number and customer number to reconcile, because there is one number.

The founding team spent twenty-five years building and running distribution at national scale. One observation was durable: the customers who stayed longest were the ones whose problems were solved before they became problems — and those relationships were engineering relationships that happened to invoice as product.

Every customer relationship begins with a technical problem. No quotation is issued before a documented technical review exists.
Technology supports operations
Every technology initiative carries a named operational owner and a stated outcome before it is funded. Systems that don't get used don't count.
Purchasing manages relationships
Allocation goes to the supplier's preferred customer. AMG builds that position deliberately, in normal conditions, so it pays out when the market tightens.
Inventory is capital
Every unit on a rack is cash with a carrying cost. Inventory policy is set by documented service-level agreement and managed as a capital allocation decision.
Warehousing creates flexibility
The footprint is optionality — the ability to reposition, buffer, and take on programs a competitor without space must decline.
Logistics is customer experience
The delivery is the only part of AMG most of a customer's organization ever touches. Delivery performance is reported through Pulse without being requested.
Sales is engineering-first
Salespeople are qualified to diagnose and scope. Commercial terms are discussed after technical qualification. Compensation reflects solution complexity, not volume alone.
The commitment outranks internal efficiency
Where two principles conflict, the commitment made to the customer outranks internal optimization. Where a commitment was set wrong, it is renegotiated openly rather than missed quietly.

The highest-leverage action. A package engineered to the actual product reduces material, increases units per trailer, and reduces damage — three benefits from one engineering decision.
Material selection
Recyclable and recycled-content materials selected at design. Suppliers provide material composition and recycled content documentation as a condition of qualification.
Cube efficiency
More units per trailer. Pallet pattern modeling at design reduces freight moves, fuel, and emissions per unit shipped.
Measurement
Material per unit, recycled content percentage, cube utilization, scrap rate, and waste diverted — tracked in Pulse and available to customers for their own sustainability reporting.

How we hire
Capability and values are both required. Neither substitutes for the other. Values are interviewed structurally — each of the five values has a behavioral question, and the answer either demonstrates the value or it doesn't.
